My Story

As a fourth generation Los Angeles native, the entertainment industry has always been a natural backdrop for my life. From childhood on, I found myself driven and inspired by stories from every sector of in the industry (comics, novels, music, television, movies, etc...). Sadly, I never did well in English, earning low B's and C's until a counselor at Pierce College discovered that I might have a form of dyslexia. Once I learned the techniques that worked with my disability, instead of against it, I realized that I had a deep passion for writing, reading, and storytelling.

When I finished my B.A. in English from California State University Northridge, I began writing everywhere I could: theme park scripts for Universal Studios (where I also performed), webisodes for Smallville (where I also worked in the writer's room), and award-winning social media campaigns for Disney, Warner Brothers, and Nike. In every place I worked, I was propelled by the joy of collaboration on stories that capture the imagination.

After nearly a decade working at various ad agencies, I am currently freelancing as a creative director and writer all around LA. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my beautiful wife and incredible son. We love to travel, and can be found traversing the streets of London, catching a show or three in New York City, or relaxing at the pub next to the hobbit holes of New Zealand. Every job and every client is my love letter back to Los Angeles, a thank you for the actors, sets, and stories that inspired me.
