I'm an ordained minister.

It started as a joke when a friend I've had since the first grade decided to get married.  They weren't very religious and couldn't decide on an officiant, so I jokingly volunteered.

 

A few days later, they came back to me and said, "We can't think of a more perfect person to give us a meaningful, quirky, sentimental, and hilarious wedding. We know you were joking, but will you do it?"  So thanks to the state of California and the Universal Church, I became an ordained minister.

It was an incredible experience. I loved guiding the bride and groom through a meaningful moment in their lives.  I wrote the script with a mix of old and new, sacred and funny.  The people who came said they had never laughed and cried so much at one wedding, and it was a wedding they'd never forget.

So I guess this is it - I'm a wedding minister!  I do personalized, quirky weddings, vow renewals, and commitment ceremonies for couples looking for something a little different, a little less sterile, and a little more fun. But don't worry, your ceremony won't be a joke. The commitment you're making is something I take very seriously. I just hope to inject some meaningful fun along the way, and I will use your input to design your unique script.
